Classes and Courses
ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes
Monday Mornings 9:20 - 11:30
We meet in the Darley Smith Building next to St Matthews Church. Enter via the large green metal gate from the Corso in Manly; or through the white gate from Darley Road, behind the church building.
3 levels are available: Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced.
Our ESL classes are conducted in small groups of 4-15, each with a teacher and aide. All teachers are ESL trained.
Our aim is to give students confidence and competence in speaking, listening, reading and writing English.
A donation of $25 per term is requested. This covers costs of morning tea and student worksheets.
Conversation Classes
Thursday Afternoons 5:45 - 7:00
We meet in classrooms on Level 1 of the Darley Smith Building next to St Matthews church. Enter via the white side gate from Darley Road, Manly, behind the church building.
We cater for most levels of English speaking ability, particularly Intermediate and Advanced.
Our free conversation classes are run as small groups of 2-4 students each with a teacher who is ESL trained and experienced.
Our aim is to help students improve their confidence and competence in English conversation by doing interactive activities and exercises that involve practising their everyday English conversation skills.
There are no fees or other costs for Conversation Class.
