ESL Classes
Monday Mornings
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are held at 9:20 to 11:30 on Monday mornings during school term. (See News and Updates for dates and details of changes from the usual arrangements.)
There are classes for Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced levels. You can select any class you think is appropriate or do an assessment interview with a teacher to determine the best class for you.
The class for each level is usually about 4 - 15 students and is led by a teacher and 1 or more assistants/aides.
Materials are provided and prepared by the teacher or based on published sources.
The lesson is for about two hours including a social break of 20 minutes for morning tea. There are also occasional excursions.
A donation of $25 per term covers the cost of materials and morning tea.
